Kogi United FC Gets new Technical Adviser, Goalkeeper Trainer

The Management of Kogi United Football Club of Lokoja has appointed former Malumfashi football club head Coach, Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi as the New Technical Adviser of the Confluence State Club.

 

Coach Adewuyi was unveiled to Sport Journalists at the Club’s Office, Government House Lokoja on Wednesday.

Chairman of Kogi United FC Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Dolly charged the New Technical Adviser to ensure that he brings his wealth of experience to bear on the progress of the team.


Also unveiled was former Jigawa Golden Stars goalkeeper Coach Abdulazeez Adieza Jimoh who replaced Coach Alao Olaniyi as Goalkeeper trainer.

Coach Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi while appreciating the management of the team led by Hon. Abdulmalik for believing in him promised to do his best to ensure that Kogi United gets better.

Coach Shola who has managed some notable clubs in Nigeria like Confluence Queens Fc of Lokoja, Remo Stars and Malumfashi Fc of Katsina is taking over from Assistant Coach of the team, Chidi Oji who has been managing the team since the departure of the Club’s former technical adviser.

The experienced tactician is not new to the Confluence State terrain as he was one time the assistant to Coach Fatai Osho in 2015 when they moved to Kogi United. He would then took up the Head
Coach position of Confluence Queens in 2016 NWPL season.
