The Kogi West Director General Muri/Sam Campaign Council, Hon Dada Fehinti has commended the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun for his prompt reaction and intervention in the Ayangba invasion of the house of the DG of Muri) Sam campaign council.
Hon. Fehinti, a former Ijumu Local Government Chairman, in a press release, said the evil going on in Kogi State shall tomorrow hunt the entire country if not immediately addressed, describing the response of the IGP as reassuring in the nation’s democracy.
Most of the insecurity prevalent in the country emanated from political sponsored thuggery. The idea that the people’s wish must be suppressed and individuals have their ways is not too good in a democracy. Nigerians must rise up to condemn the invasion and other barbaric escaped of those who are desperate for power.
Hon Dada reaffirmed his confidence in the security agencies with the exception of a few, who are compromising.
He condemned the killing of innocent security officers which according to him shows the level of the respect some people in the corridor of power, have for life.
The DG expressed optimism that Candidate of Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka will win with large margin that shall shock his persecutors.
