A Frontline Aspirant for the Kogi West Senatorial seat under the ruling All Progressives Congress, Joseph Olusegun Stephen has stepped down from the race siting internal party arrangements.

The Aspirant in a letter thanked the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his teaming supporters.

Notice of My Withdrawal From Senate Race

“I wish to on behalf of myself and family appreciate His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi State for his love and support for me since the beginning of his administration till date. May Almighty Allah continue to be with him and his family.

As a loyal and committed member of the great Kogi APC Family and an unapologetic follower and believer of GYB, I wish to at juncture withdraw my aspiration from Kogi West Senatorial race in compliance with party internal arrangements.

“I wish to sincerely appreciate all Kogi State Government Officials particularly those from Kogi West Senatorial District, party faithfuls and my teaming supporters across Kogi West and beyond. The love, support and solidarity I enjoyed from all of you in the last few months is unimaginable. This i will cherish for the rest of my life.

“I remain loyal and committed to His Excellency and all that he stands for. I pledge my unalloyed support and assistance towards His Excellency’s aspiration and our great party APC.”
