The Transition Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alh. Haruna Ibrahim has congratulated the former member representing Ijumu Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Yori Afolabi on his successful screening and confirmation by the Senate on Wednesday.

The nomination of Hon. Yori Afolabi and 16 others were confirmed by the Senate during Wednesday Plenary after the adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on National Identity Card and Population headed by Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi.

The Caretaker Chairman, while reacting to the confirmation in a statement he personally signed, expressed excitement over his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and confirmation by the Red Chamber.

He described the former Lawmaker as a thoroughbred Politician and technocrat, who has the capacity and experience to succeed in his new office.

“Congratulations, Hon. YORI AFOLABI, on your appointment as Commissioner of the National Population Commission. This is a well-deserved recognition of your dedication, knowledge, and expertise. Your commitment to serving the nation and your exceptional leadership qualities make you the perfect choice for this important role.

He urged Hon. Afolabi to use his new position to contribute meaningfully to the progress and development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
