The newly appointed minority leader of the Senate, Philip Aduda has expressed his readiness for the task ahead of his new office.
Senator Aduda who stated this while speaking with Newsmen after plenary noted that though as the new minority leader, there would be challenges but they would be surmounted.
“There are a lot of challenges as 2023 approaches; we will manage them. This is the season you have aggrieved members from all sides, various defection by those who are aggrieved and those who got their parties’ tickets.
He assured that he will sustain his doggedness to push forward the demands of his people.
The Lawmaker Said that with the number of defection to PDP, minority People’s Democratic Party might soon become the majority in the Senate.

“I can assure we will ensure we give meaningful leadership to the minority in the Senate,” he said.
Senator Aduda dismissed fears that the defection of the former vice Presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi to labour party will affect the PDP’s chances in next year’s Presidential election.
“Make no mistake about it, grassroots politics is different from internet politics.
You can have a lot of followership on the internet but when you go to the grassroots it is not so.
“The hype is not what is in the grassroots. It doesn’t matter if Peter Obi is gathering follower-ship because in politics, we lose some and gain some.” He said.
