New Year Message: Olumoko Sues for Peace And Unity, Says Gov. Bello Has Set A New Political Order In Kogi

The DG, Kogi West APC Campaign Council in the just concluded election in Kogi State, Hon. Funsho Olumoko has urged the people of Okunland to strive towards strengthening the bond of unity among them.

 

The former Local government Chairman, gave this charge in his New Year message to the people, said it was only by forging a united front that the people of the area could realize their collective aspirations.

 

“A New Year is here with us. We need to rise as one people in hope towards restoring all that we have lost. To achieve that, according to him, there’s urgent need to forge a united front to confront all the turbulence storms that have disperse us apart. When we act in unity, ones in unity can not be in discord,” he maintained.

 

Hon. Funsho Olumoko however thanked traditional rulers, community leaders and all the occupant citizens of Kogi West for galvanizing themselves, voted for APC’s Usman Ahmed Ododo in the last Kogi election.

 

He enjoined the people to have trust in the new government, assuring them of an equitable and fair in the new government. He therefore urged the people, especially the political actors to continue to be united for the incoming government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to be able to transform his campaign promises into programmes, projects and development that will add value to the peoples’ lives.

 

Paying tributes to the outgoing Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Hon. Olumoko thanked the governor for setting a line for new political order which we believe will step up arrays of progress and development in due time.

 

In a line of point, Hon. Olumoko reiterated that alot still needed to be achieved in Okunland, maintained that Okunland and Kogi West in general still faced with some serious issues ranging from youth unemployment, consumption of hard drugs and other substances by the youths, herders intrusion into our people’s farmland to kidnapping for ransom on our highways amongst other problems. Admonishing the incoming government to look into this menace, so that development can come into our lands.

 

He appealed earnestly to the people to encourage themselves to embibe the new year spirit, considering harmonizing new resolution for progress and development.
