The Newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the executive Governor of Kogi State on political matters Dekina/Bassa, Hon. Solomon Zakari has expressed his deep and profound appreciation to the executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello, His deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja, The Chief of staff to the Governor, Pham. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, and All progressive Congress party Chieftains from Bassa Local Government Area for finding him worthy to serve in that capacity.
Honourable Solomon Zakari who is the elder brother of the former Administrator of Bassa Local Government Area and immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Dekina/Bassa Political affairs, late Honourable Samuel Alumka Zakari who died few months ago in a ghastly motor accident along Abuja-Lokoja road said the appointment came to him as a shock as he never expected it.
Hon. Zakari however poured encomiums on the Executive Governor, his Deputy Chief Edward David Onoja and the Chief of Staff to the Governor all of whom he said stood firmly with the Zakari family during their trying moments when that unfortunate incident brought to an abrupt end a blossoming political Career.
“The entire Zakari family thank and appreciate his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, his deputy Chief Edward David Onoja and the chief of staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku for finding another member of the Zakari family worthy to occupy the office our brother The late Samuel Alumka Zakari occupied while he was alive.
By this appointment,the workaholic youthful governor has shown that even in death,the family of the late Samuel Alumka will not be forgotten and as such,the entire family are thankful and appreciative of the kind gesture and appointment from the government and also promised that I will not disappoint.”
Hon. Zakari, who is an Ordained minister of God serving with Rhema Chapel international Lokoja was the Chief of staff to his late brother when he held sway as the Administrator of Bassa Local Government Area and was also the All Progressive Congress (APC) Collation Officer for Bassa Local Government Area in the 2019 General Election, a card Carrying member of the ruling party and as such, not new to the political terrain especially of the Dekina/Bassa federal Constituency.
Hon. Zakari promised to discharge the duties and functions of his office accordingly.
The new appointee is taking over as Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Political Matters Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency after the death of his brother few months ago.
