Niger State Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, expressed his deep condemnation of the recent robbery attack on the cashier of the Emir of Minna, Ibrahim Sani.
In an official statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described the incident as regrettable and a blatant disregard for the revered institution of tradition.
Asserting that his administration will not stand idly by while criminals cause harm and suffering to innocent residents, the Governor emphasized the seriousness with which his government views the situation.
“This unfortunate event occurring not only within the state capital but also within the precincts of the Emir’s Palace is highly disheartening,” he remarked. “My administration will not tolerate such acts. I urge the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, who must face appropriate legal consequences.”
Governor Umaru Bago extended his sympathies to the Emir of Minna, Alh. Dr. Umar Farouk Bahago, in light of the robbery incident.
He also offered prayers for the swift recovery of the two Palace Aides affected by the attack.
