Ododo Reaffirms Commitment To Infrastructure Development

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo says his administration will continue to prioritize infrastructure development especially in rural areas of the state.

The Governor made this known on Friday during an inspection of the 10km Egbe Township Road Projects in Yagba West Local Government Area of the state.

He noted that the construction of Egbe Township roads is intended to strategically serve as vital links connecting communities, thereby facilitating seamless movement of people and increasing commercial activities in the area.

Governor Ododo who also inspected the Forward Operation Base and Vigilantee Headquarters in Egbe, commended the Senator repressing KOGI West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi for prioritizing the welfare and security of the people of Kogi West and Okun land in general.

He also commended the officers at the Forward Operation Base for their selfless service in ensuring maximum security in the area adding that his administration will continue to take the fight to criminal elements in the state.

Earlier, the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi commended the Governor for running an open and inclusive government describing him as a man who has made a lot of differences in Governance.

He noted that the road projects in Egbe communities are a testament to the vision of the Governor to enhance road connectivity and increase commercial activities in the state.

Recall that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo had in June 2024 tasked the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA) with the immediate rehabilitation and reconstruction of Egbe township roads in Yagba West Local Government Area of the state whis is now at 99.7% completion level and soon to be commissioned.
