All is now set for the ground breaking and official Foundation Laying ceremony as well as Launching of N500 million for the proposed Ijumu Anglican College of Nursing Sciences in Ogidi, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The ceremony according to a statement by the Chairman Central Planning Committee, Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo will perform the ceremony expected to hold on April 19th, 2025 at the proposed site, adjacent Community Secondary School, Ogidi.
It named Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, Group Chairman, Mutual Benefits Assurance Lagos as Chairman of the Ceremony and Mrs. Folashade Joseph, Managing Director, Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) and Princess Omotayo Adeleye Ishaya, member representing Ijumu Constituency at the State House of Assembly as Chairlady and Co-Chairlady respectively.
Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Chief James Abiodun Faleke is the Chief Special Guest of Honour while the Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi is the Distinguished Guest of Honour.
Special Guests of Honour are; Arc. Salman Idris and Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji with Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade and Chief Nike Okudaye as Special Mothers of the Day.
It added that while the Bishop, Ijumu Anglican Diocese Church of Nigeria, Dr. Paul Olanrewaju Ojo is the Spiritual Father of the Day, HRM. Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom is the Royal Father of the Day with Oba R.O Sule, Ologidi of Ogidi land as the Royal Host.
