Ododo Upgrades Olu Apata Stool to First Class Status

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has upgraded the stool of the Olu of Apata, Oba Frederick Balogun to the position of first Class status.

 

The Apata Paramount Ruler was until the elevation a second Class Chief.

 

The Governor announced the promotion at the seventh OJN Symposium in Lokoja where the Olu Apata served as Royal Father of the Day.

 

He commended the Traditional Ruler for leaving up to expectations, especially maintaining peace in his domain and urged him to sustain the tempo.

 

In an interview, the Oba Frederick Balogun, who was surprised by the announcement expressed the appreciation of the Apata Council of Chiefs and people of the Community to the Governor for the honour.

 

Oba Balogun applauded Governor Ododo for his humility and commitment to the development of the State, saying he will continue to be loyal at support programmes that will enhance peace in his domain.

 

He added that the elevation will spur him to do more, saying the people of Apata will reciprocate the Governor’s gesture at the appropriate time.
