Ododo’s SSA on Fraud and Internet Matters Takes Anti-fraud Campaign to Kogi Radio

Following a strategic engagement with the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Kogi Anti-Fraud Campaign team paid a working visit to the Director General of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Princess Nanahauwa Yusuf, as part of efforts to expand the reach of the ongoing awareness campaign across the state.

 

The campaign, initiated by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Fraud and Internet Matters, in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Private Education Institutions and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Women Entrepreneur, is designed to educate citizens on fraud prevention, responsible digital conduct, and the legal consequences of fraudulent activities.

 

During the visit, the team expressed appreciation to the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation for its consistent role in keeping residents informed and engaged through timely dissemination of information. The team noted that the Corporation remains a critical partner in public sensitization efforts.

 

Hon. Oluseyi Kelvin Eleta, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Fraud and Internet Matters, provided an overview of the campaign’s objectives and outlined its statewide engagement strategy. He called for the support and collaboration of the Corporation in amplifying the campaign messages through its various media platforms.

 

While speaking, Hon. Clement Daudu, Senior Special Assistant on Private Education also commended His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for appointing Princess Nanahauwa Yusuf as the first female Director General of Kogi Broadcasting Corporation since its creation.

 

In her response, the Director General, Princess Nanahauwa Yusuf, applauded the initiative and described it as timely and well-structured. She noted that increased public awareness is key to reducing fraudulent practices and building a more informed society. She also acknowledged the commitment of the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in addressing issues related to fraud.

 

Princess Yusuf assured the team of the full cooperation of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, stating that the organization is ready to support the campaign through its broadcast channels and other communication platforms.

 

Members of the delegation included Hon. Clement Daudu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Private Education Institutions, and Ms. Precious Omotayo Leramo, Private Secretary to the Senior Special Assistant on Fraud and Internet Matters, alongside other officials of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation.
