Okoro Gbede Community has described as a welcome development, the appointment of Dr. Babs Omotowa as Non-Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Wednesday 2nd April reconstituted the leadership of the NNPCL with the appointment of Dr. Omotowa to represent the North Central in the Company.

The National President of Okoro Gbede Development Association (ODA), Chief Pedro Durotiwon in a statement applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing an illustrious son of the Community as the news was received with all joy.
Chief Durotiwon congratulated the North Central Non-Executive Director on his well deserved appointment in view of his wealth of experience in the oil and gas sectors.
He described Dr. Omotowa as a pride to Okoro Gbede, Ijumu and Kogi State, who had served the nation meritoriously in the past, expressing optimism that he will not disappoint in his new task.
