Omodara Bags Okun Security Excellence Award, Insist “Okun for Governor” Achievable by Strong Alliance with Kogi Central

Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara rtd was on Thursday conferred with an Award of Okun Security Excellence by the Okun Development Initiative.

 

The Award was presented to the Security Adviser by the Elejuku of Ejuku, HRM. Oba Funsho Ayeni at the Okun Unity Dialogue held at the Armed Forces Officers Mess and Suite, Abuja.

Commander Omodara, who was flanked by the by Traditional Rulers from Okun land and Political Associates said the Unity of Okun is critical to the development of collective interest of the people.

 

On Security, Commander Jerry Omodara said the Insecurity being faced in the Area has reduced due to the upgrade in the State Security Architecture and introduction of Security guidelines such as closure of some markets, ban on use of motorcycles among others.

 

According to him, peace is returning to the Area following the successes recorded, calling on Well-to-do Indigenes to Invest in Okun Land to impact positively on the lives of the people.

 

“The Success recorded in the area of Security in Okun land that was ravaged by some parts of the 5 Local Government Areas was as a result of absolute support of Traditional Rulers.

 

 

Commander Omodara explained that the Federal Government has now adopted the approach of the State Government not to negotiate with criminals.

 

 

He noted that the Area needs to deploy Political Intelligence and recognize the fact that Five Local Government cannot win Governorship election for the Okun nation.

 

He pointed out that for Okun to be Governor, “we must be strategic, and not be deceived by Selfish Politicians, used unknown to them to cause division.”

 

He tasked Okun Traditional Rulers to take the lead by meeting with their counterparts in the Central Senatorial District to reach an agreement on getting their support for Kogi West Gubernatorial Ambition.
