Outgoing Lokoja Rotary Club President, Rotarian Iyabode Ojo Donates Sanitary Pads, Writing Materials To Kogi School

In what seems to be a happy ending, the President of Rotary Club of Lokoja District 9125, Rotarian Iyabode Ojo has donated sanitary pads and writing materials to students of Government Science secondary School Lokoja.

 

The donation was part of the activities marking the end of the tenure of Rotarian Ojo as President of the global international body, committed to humanitarian service.

While addressing the students, the outgoing Lokoja District Rotary President emphasized the need to establish the Interact section of the Club ment for students in Secondary schools from age 14-18 years.

According to her, Rotary Club has done a lot of humanitarian services all over the world including Nigeria, saying saying memberships cut across professions.

 

Rotarian Ojo expressed appreciation to God for a successful tenure, pointing out that the donation of the Sanitary pads, exercise books and biros is her widows might to support the students at a time like this.

 

She however charged the students to study hard to make them responsive and responsible to their respective families and the society in the nearest future.

 

In a remark, a former President of the Club and former Assistant Governor, Rotarian Nda Yusuf, stated that Part of the landmark achievements of Rotary Club in Nigeria is sponsoring the elimination of Polio in the country.

 

Responding, the Vice Principal Academics of the School, Mr. Ojo Adeola expressed appreciation to the Rotarian for her philanthropic gesture and prayed on behalf of the students for God to reward her.

He also expressed the willingness of the school to partner with the Club to produce Global Leaders.

 

A former President of the Club, Dr. Sam Alhasan, congratulated the outgoing President for her remarkable achievements and wished her well in her future endeavours.
