Oyo APC Accuses Gov. Makinde of Underperformance, Working as Wike’s P. A

Governor Seyi Makinde has come under fire from the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State for acting as Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State’s personal aide.

The party asserted that Makinde had underperformed despite receiving allocations larger than other states.

Olawale Shadare, the Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, claimed in a statement on Sunday that the governor had fully ceased to be in office in order to maintain his political relevance.

The opposition party said that Makinde had been accompanying Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, around like his personal assistant and that this had degraded Oyo’s reputation as a state that sets the pace.

He warned residents of the state to exercise caution when voting since Makinde and his team had allegedly packaged bogus and “deceitful record of achievements” with the intention of utilizing it as campaign literature and misleading the public, including the helpless electorate.

The declaration said, “Gov. The fine people of the Pacesetter state, who have benefited little to nothing from Makinde’s leadership over the past 40 months, are being insulted by his bid for re-election.

The governor abandoned the creation of the government framework for inauguration day rehearsal and the exhilaration of holding the governorship, leaving no room for question as to what his priority would be.

He would later succeed with a lacklustre inauguration address that disappointed many because he failed to persuade the world that he was ready to lift the bar from the legacies of the Sage, including Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Bola Ige, Lam Adesina, Abiola Ajimobi, and others.

“Fourty months later, the people have finally come to terms with the fact that the PDP administration of Governor Seyi Makinde offers nothing more than window dressing, ego-stroking, and the misuse of limited resources.

“In contrast to the customarily excellent performances that nearly all of the chief occupants of Agodi Government House have recorded in their individual times, we now have an administration that has brought governance to a laughable level.
