In a bid to further contribute to the development of his community, the Chief Executive Officer of a fast rising Real Estate and auto company, G-One Homes and Motors Abuja, Alhaji Gowon Enenche has offered to sponsor one hundred young secondary school leavers from Imane to undergo a six weeks certificate programme in computer appreciation and ICT literacy.

Chief Executive Officer of G-One Homes and Motors, Alhaji Gowon Enenche disclosed this at the weekend when some stakeholders from the Imane community visited him to pay him a congratulatory visit after he returned from Mecca, the Holy land recently.

Gowon said his move to embark on the computer literacy training for Imane Youths was motivated by his desire to give back to the society which made him, especially his community of Imane, adding that “charity begins at home” and that the youths in Imane has always been his strength.

The training for one hundred youths from Imane is to cover fifty secondary school graduates who have written their Senior Secondary School Examination and may be preparing to write the Joint Admission Matriculation Board’s examination where computer literacy is not only needed but a necessity.

The second fifty intending trainees will be drawn from graduates of university, polytechnic, and college of education and other institutions of higher learning who are hunting for job, but have not yet acquired computer literacy

Gowon added that, beyond his desire to get the youths educated in the area of computer literacy, the programme will also engage the youths who appear to be idle after graduating from secondary school to contain youth restiveness, crimes and criminalities.

With the total cost of training valued at two million five hundred thousand naira, to be carried out by Seat Of Wisdom Computer Academy Efakpa Imane, Prince Enenche said, the package will include free course materials, transportation and certificate for all trainees.

According to the young philanthropist, only deserving applicants will be selected to participate in the training for the six weeks of the programme which will be practically intensive.

“I don’t want anyone who desires this knowledge not to get it, so I am paying for the training, transport logistics and possible lecture materials which will be provided to the trainees”.

“Whatever I am today is a product of being educated, so I must invest in that sector which have started already by embarking on some projects in my alma mater, ICGS and during the holiday, my company will also organize capacity building for all primary and secondary school teachers in Imane before extending to Olamaboro Local Government as a whole”.

I will also encourage other spirited sons and daughters of Imane to come into the area of education in seeing how to empower our young ones to be on the side of advantage in terms of seeking a job and being relevant in the present age.

“The registration for the computer Scholarship Scheme will commence on Monday, 8th to wednesday 10th July 2023 as interested applicants who are from any part of Imane regardless of religion and political affiliation are to proceed to the school and get the form between 10am to 1pm daily.”

“The registration form is totally free and can be obtained from Seat Of Wisdom Model Academy, Efakpa Imane and no applicant is expected to pay any kobo on reaching the school”
