The manner with which the APC cabals in Kogi state opposed the 4th term agenda of Distinguished, Senator Smart Adeyemi, is nothing than a demonstration of core enmity orchestrated by those who felt threatened that, he could propelled to the highest position in the Senate.
Senator Smart Adeyemi, you will observe obtained the APC Senate Intents Form, with the intention to contend the party ticket but few days ere the primary election, he issued a press statement about threat to his life and family.
It was viral online but he courageously stood his ground to contest even though, he was aware about conspiracy against his ambition.

“Senator Smart Adeyemi lost APC tickets of Kogi West Senatorial Districts not to the best aspirants but to conspiracy. Okun politicians conspired against him to thwart the opportunity of seeing him as an Okun man becoming Senate President or Frontline portfolio holder. They conspired against Okun way forward, which definitely must happened through someone.
“The only sin I can tell you that Smart Adeyemi committed is because he would attempts to rise in profile in the Senate, and be ahead of his contemporaries. In order word, the act is simply intra-betrayal of Okun glory for selfish primordial attachments”.
Segun Amupitan also added:
“Those who conspired against Distinguished. Senator. Smart Adeyemi have all forgotten that, he is already commanding national influence and at the same time, he has grassroots structure, a plus, no one can take away from him.
“In Okunland today, their few political leaders who can pick any party’s tickets, and still prove a meaningful point, one of them is Smart Adeyemi. Come to think of it, if he becomes Senate President, Okun youths will have better access to employment, and expectedly, ABU Kabba can be transform into a full fledge University. What Okun politicians in APC have just done by that act, is shooting Okun at the leg.
“Despite the loss of Senate tickets in APC, he still remain loyal to Governor Yahaya Bello. He is not backbiting the Governor. He is highly grateful for his support notwithstanding. With the loss of Yahaya Bello’s Presidential ambition, Smart Adeyemi, could have been the saving face Kogi state and in deed, the North Central, will rely upon. Those who convince Yahaya Bello to oppose 4th term tickets of Smart Adeyemi, have a surreptitious desire unknown to Mr. Governor”.
Ergo, he suggested two options for Smart Adeyemi. Firstly, to pick another party tickets, to try his 4th term ambition. Secondly, if he chose to accept the outcome of the manipulated primary and remain with APC in good faith, then he should make serious awareness for TINUBU in the North Central by mobilising the youths and women for him.
He also said, ” I have trust in Smart Adeyemi’s leadership than any of the known Senate candidates across all registered parties in Kogi West”.
