The President of Sanity Multi-Efforts Forum (SMEF), Prince Dan. Olaitan Dada, has applauded the appointment of Mr. Tunji Disu as acting Inspector General of Police by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
His appointment followed the resignation of the elsewhile IGP Kayode Egbetokun on Tuesday.
Prince Dan while reacting to the appointment commended President Tinubu for the choice of Disu, describing him as a refined humble and professional Police officer.
According to him, the appointment is coming at a time that Nigerians looks forward to seeing a safer, more secure nation, reaffirming SMEF’s commitment to supporting his administration to combat crime, promote community policing, and enhance public safety.
Also, the President maintained that the Forum will collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force to, Fight against illegality, extortions, double taxations, and road blocks, Promote awareness on crime prevention and reporting, Support initiatives on traffic management and road safety, Foster community engagement and police-community relations as well as contribute to capacity building for personnel.
