Edo State Government will host Edo Queens to a heroic reception after their excellent outing at the NWFL Super Six Playoffs, emerging champions of the league and securing a ticket to represent the country at the CAF Women’s Champions League for the first time.

The team will arrive in Benin City, the Edo State capital, on Thursday (today) and will receive a rousing welcome in celebration of their remarkable achievement, the Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, said, adding that a victory roadshow had been planned for the team.

“The victory roadshow is scheduled to commence at 10am with the rallying point being Western Boys Secondary School, Benin City. They will proceed on the motorcade through Ring Road and terminate the roadshow at the Government House, Benin City.
