The Vice-Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba (KOSU), Professor K.I.T. Eniola, fNSM, FRA, has congratulated Kogi-born academic, researcher and public policy expert, Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi, on his appointment as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), representing the North Central geopolitical zone.
Professor Eniola described the appointment, approved by President , as a deserving recognition of Dr. Ocholi’s distinguished career, unwavering commitment to national development and remarkable contributions to academia, public administration and policy formulation.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that TETFund remains a critical driver of infrastructural development, research advancement and academic staff capacity building in Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions. He expressed confidence that Dr. Ocholi’s vast experience in scientific research, governance and public service would further enrich the strategic direction of the Fund and strengthen its impact on higher education.
According to Professor Eniola, Dr. Ocholi’s appointment is not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for Kogi State and the North Central region, as it reflects the quality of leadership and intellectual capacity the state continues to contribute to national development.
He commended President Tinubu for finding Dr. Ocholi worthy of the important national assignment and expressed optimism that the new Board member would discharge his responsibilities with excellence, integrity and a deep sense of patriotism.
Professor Eniola wished Dr. Ocholi a successful and impactful tenure, expressing hope that his service on the Board would further advance the growth, competitiveness and global relevance of Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
