The Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba Professor K.I.T. Eniola has welcomed the appointment of Dr. Lamidi Yusuf as Coordinator for the Sensitization on Neglected Tropical Diseases, NTDs.
Prof. Eniola in a statement through Oshaloto J. Tade Public Relations Officer of the University, described the appointment as another fulfilment of the community services mandate of the University, adding that the University continues to diligently water her niche in the global, national and local scheme of things.
The appointment which was conveyed and signed by the State Director, NTDs Unit of the Kogi State Ministry of Health, Mr. Albert Afolabi, is an initiative of Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria, PPSN.
The appointment also listed the duo of Dr. Bonaventure Tienche, and Dr. Olubiyo Kehinde of the Kogi State University, Kabba as members of sensitization team who will work with Dr. Lamidi. The Vice Chancellor charges Dr. Lamidi and his team to bring to bear the culture of excellence for which KOSU is known and esteemed in his new engagement.
Dr. Lamidi, a medical microbiologist, is the Acting Dean, Faculty of Science and Computing of the university.
