The Director General of Kogi West All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, Barr. David Aiyedogbon has breaking silence on why he has been absent from the consultations by Candidates in the District.
Barr. Aiyedogbon popularly known as Charvid while reacting to insinuations on why he has not joined the various Candidate for consultations with stakeholders said “the DG (West) covers the seven LGAs in Kogi West and not limited to a particular Federal Constituency. The consultations going are individual programmes of the candidates involved. It is also happening in other Senatorial Districts.”
“You may also wish to note that each candidate has his or her own Campaign Teams, DGs, Campaign Time Tables and Committees that are completely different from that of the DG (West).”
“It is also necessary for you to know that while individuals fund their plans, the Kogi West Campaign Council is part of the APC National Campaign structure and therefore expected to be funded by the Party.”
“Note also that the DG (Kogi State) and the three Zonal DGs are constantly meeting and have done the needful while awaiting further Directives. I assure you that campaign activities will start simultaneously in all the zones in the West.”
“Please note that going about to villages, with individual candidates, is completely outside the mandate and scope of Kogi West Campaign Council being led by the DG (West).”
“Finally, please note that the candidates contesting elections in each of the seven LGAs are expected to attend the campaigns of Kogi West Campaign Council when our Team gets to their Constituency.”
I hope the above explanations satisfy your curiosity.
