The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim has promised to continue to do his best for the Security of lives and property in the Local Government.
Hon. Haruna stated this while speaking at this year’s Ekinrin Adde Day.
He called for support of the people by reporting suspicious movements to security agencies and hunters.
Our administration in Ijumu Local Government remains committed to working with every community to improve the quality of life of our people. We will continue to support initiatives that encourage peace, community development, youth engagement, partnerships that attract investment into our local government, and above all, providing adequate security to protect our people and their sources of livelihoods.
The Chairman commended the manner in which the ceremony was well packaged, saying his administration will support any course that will promote Ijumu Kingdom.
It gives me great pleasure to join the sons, daughters, friends, and well-wishers of Ekinrin-Adde as we gather to celebrate this year ’ s Ekinrin-Adde Day. I bring warm greetings from the Government and people of Ijumu Local Government Area.
Accountant to him, “Today is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity to reflect on history, appreciate the cultural identity, recognize the achievements of the people of Ekinrin-Adde, and renew our commitment to the growth of this community.”
“Ekinrin-Adde has continued to distinguish itself through the strength of its people, the value placed on education, respect for tradition, and the determination to build a better future. Across different sectors, the sons and daughters of this community have made meaningful contributions to the development of Kogi State, Nigeria, and beyond. These accomplishments deserve recognition and celebration.
“As a people, we must continue to preserve our cultural heritage while embracing ideas that create opportunities for economic growth, education, agriculture, commerce, and enterprise. Our traditions remain a source of identity and should continue to guide the values we pass on to younger generations.
” I commend the Central Planning Committee, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, women associations, and every individual whose time, resources, and dedication have made this celebration possible. Your efforts continue to strengthen the unity that has always defined Ekinrin-Adde.
“At this point, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his leadership and commitment to the security of lives and property across our state. The noticeable improvement in security within Ijumu Local Government Area has restored confidence among our people, supported farming and business activities, and allowed communities to go about their daily lives with greater peace of mind. We are equally grateful for Your Excellency ’ s readiness to listen to the concerns and aspirations of the people of Ijumu.
I wish to encourage our young people to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to productive pursuits. The future of Ekinrin-Adde and indeed Ijumu Local Government rests largely in your hands. Continue to pursue education, acquire valuable skills, embrace innovation, and contribute positively to the progress of your community. And also, there is a need to be more security conscious than ever. If you see anything unusual, endeavor to say something.
To our sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, I encourage you to continue supporting community development projects. Lasting progress becomes easier when everyone contributes according to their ability. Every effort, whether large or small, adds value to the growth of our communities.
