The Ologidi of Ogidi Kingdom, HRM. Oba Rabiu Sule says the the appointment of of Prof. Joash Amupitan as Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is well deserved.
Recall that the National Council of State approved the nomination of Prof. Amupitan as the new INEC Chairman as nominated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Oba Sule in a statement described the appointment as a welcome development and historic for the nation’s Electoral system, expressing optimism that the Professor of Law will perform excellently by living up to expectations.
He extended his felicitation to Prof. Amupitan on his merited appointment, describing it as a recognition of the outstanding performance of the Professor of Law.
“I applaud your appointment and pledge our support to your success in ensuring free, fair, and credible elections in Nigeria. Your leadership will undoubtedly strengthen our democratic process.
The Ologidi noted that in view of the track record of integrity of the New INEC Boss, he is confident in his capacity to deliver on the mandate of your new office.
He prayed for a successful and eventful tenure filled with transformation of the nation’s electoral system.
