The Kogi State Government has made a significant announcement, highlighting an important policy change in the state educational sector! It has declared that no child residing in Kogi State should be required to pay any type of fees, including tuition fees, thus emphasizing the commitment to providing free education. This initiative makes education both free and compulsory from primary through to secondary levels, ensuring that all children have access to basic education without financial barriers. In addition to this, the government is taking a commendable step by fully covering the costs associated with internal and external examination fees. This includes fees for Basic 6 assessments, the common entrance examination required for secondary school admission, the Basic Certificate Examination (BECE), the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) tests, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams, and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEC) assessments for all students enrolled in public schools. Governor Ododo, adhering to the vision “4+4=8,” believes that this plan is divinely ordained and destined to succeed, Insha’Allah, ensuring that educational opportunities are equitably accessible to all, setting a foundation for the brighter future of Kogi State’s youth.
Ododo CONTINUITY 2027 is a done deal.
