The Kogi State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Ogga Temitope Kingsley, recently led a delegation of all the State Chairmen of the party, from the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT, on a courtesy visit to the former Vice President, His Excellency, Alh Atiku Abubakar.
The visit, which took place at the Abuja residence of Alhaji Atiku, was to welcome him to the party, having recently obtained a membership card to officially become a member.

Kingsley Ogga, who led the delegation, expressed joy that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is finally a bonafide member of the party, saying his coming will not only boost the morale of members but will strengthen the party to achieve its primary objectives of winning elections across levels of government so as to reposition the country.

In his response, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar emphasized that there is no time to waste in the party’s rescue mission and encouraged other members and leaders of the coalition to register with the ADC formally, stating that there can be no sitting on the fence.
He was indeed pleased to see that leaders of the party at the state level are thinking with the future of the country in mind. “Together, we are committed to our resolve to work towards a secure, united, and prosperous Nigeria,” he stated.
He concluded by saying, “The APC is bent on wrecking our country, and we are ready to stop them from doing so.”
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is now the major opposition party, having recently formed an alliance with some other opposition political parties in Nigeria to wrest power from the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC), in the 2027 general election.
