A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Imane in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, Surveyor Danjuma Okoliko, has congratulated former council chairman, Hon. Nicodemus Adejoh Pexy, on his emergence as the Treasurer of the National Association of Local Government of Nigeria (NALGON), Forum of Former Local Government Chairmen for the North Central.
The congratulatory statement was issued shortly after the announcement of Hon. Adejoh Pexy’s emergence as North Central Treasurer became public.
Okoliko described Adejoh’s elevation as a well-deserved honour that reflects his longstanding commitment to public service and grassroots development.
In his congratulatory message he made available to journalists in Abuja, Okoliko praised Adejoh as a diligent administrator who gave his utmost to Olamaboro Local Government during his tenure and has continued to offer dedicated service to Kogi State since leaving office.
He noted that Adejoh’s consistency, humility, and people-centered approach to leadership have earned him admiration from colleagues, political stakeholders, and community groups.
The APC chieftain emphasized that the role of Treasurer in a regional forum like NALGON requires integrity, transparency, accountability, and financial discipline—qualities he said Hon. Adejoh has demonstrated over the years.
According to Okoliko, Adejoh’s record of constructive engagement, teamwork, and responsible leadership made him the natural choice for the position.
Hon. Adejoh’s emergence took place during the ongoing inaugural ceremony of the Forum of Former Executive Chairmen of Nigeria, which comprises former leaders of all 774 Local Government Areas across the country.
The event, currently holding at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja, is themed “One Nigeria, One Destiny: Unity in Diversity, One Nation, One People.”
The three-day programme has brought together former chairmen from every geopolitical zone to discuss ways of strengthening local government administration and promoting national cohesion.
Hon. Adejoh, a former Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, is widely regarded as a grassroots mobilizer and a committed public servant with deep experience in local governance.
Olamaboro Local Government was well represented at the ceremony, with Hon. Gabriel Yunusa Olofu and Adejoh Friday Nicodemus attending alongside other former chairmen from Kogi State.
Okoliko urged Hon. Adejoh to justify the confidence reposed in him by discharging his duties with diligence, fairness, and utmost professionalism throughout his tenure.
