Revisiting Gov. Bello’s Visit to Ijumu Local Government

I am inspired to congratulate Hon Taufiq Isa, the Executive Chairman Ijumu LGA on his outing last weekend whereby the the Executive Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello attended his son’s wedding.

To me, it is one of the greatest honour a political leader can bestow on his ardent follower ad Loyalty is reciprocal.

Hon Taufiq truly deserves the honour as he honours others. I particularly appreciate the respect he accords me anywhere he had ever met me despite activities of busy bodies and destroyers.

I treat people as they treat me and I don’t inherit other people’s prejudice.

The second leg of my congratulations and very important is the pronouncement made by the Executive Governor on the three roads in Ijumu.

The ogidi road, the Okoro Ayegunle road and Odokoro Iyara road. If the roads are constructed it would have pacified somebody like me and many others who believe our local government has been shortchanged in dividends of democracy especially in infrastructure.

My advice is for the Hon Chairman not to relent in.making the pronouncement a reality. This gesture will no doubt write the name of GYB in.gold and also constitute a major part of the score card of Hon Taufiq the Executive chairman of the Local government.

It is also important that the Chairman constitutes a group that will visit his excellency to thank and remind him of his promise.

Ijumu shall be greater.

Hon Dayo Akanmode writes from Aiyetoro Gbede, Ijumu LGA.
