The Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria Community has honoured the President of Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN), Dr Badaki Aliyu with a merit Award.
The Award was conferred on the Tourism and Hospitality Expert at an Iftar organized by Board members and management of NAERLS Suites and Conference Centre LTD, A.B.U, Zaria.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Adamu Ahmed in a message to the ceremony, applauded Dr. Badaki for exhibiting a high level of professionalism towards the development of Hospitality and Tourism industry in Nigeria.

Other Speakers also commended the FTAN President for his forthright, contributions and dedication towards the University.
The award of recognition was presented by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Admin), Prof. Bello Sambo and the Chairman, Board of Director of the Suites, Prof Yusuf Sanni.
Similarly, principal officers of the University, members of the Board of Director of NAERLS Suites and Conference Centre, University community among others attended the ceremony.
Others honoured are: Prof. SZ Abubakar, COREN President, Prof M Othman VC, Federal University, Dutsima, Engr Nura, Ag. Head of procurement for the University.
The honour bestowed on Dr. Badaki demonstrates his capacity and commitment in transforming the Hospitality and Tourism industry in Nigeria.
