Ododo Performs Foundation Laying of Security Post by Ijumu Assembly Member

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has broken ground for the construction of a security outpost at Kabba-Iyara-Omuo expressway, Iyara, Ijumu Local Government Area.

 

The project, funded by Hon. Omotayo Isiaya Adeleye, House of Assembly Member representing Ijumu State Constituency, is part of her 2026 constituency projects.

 

Speaking through Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), State Security Adviser, Governor Ododo described the project as a strategic move to boost security in the area.

He praised Hon. Adeleye for her initiative and commitment to Ijumu LG and Kogi State’s development.

 

The security outpost will serve Ijumu and neighboring communities. Commander Omodara highlighted recent successes against banditry and terrorism, saying bandits are seeking to surrender. He credited the synergy among security agencies for the wins.

Rep. Salman Idris commended Governor Ododo’s dedication to Kogi citizens’ wellbeing and security. He also praised Hon. Omotayo’s development efforts.
