In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to educational advancement, the Leke Abejide Foundation has disbursed over ₦150 million to cover the 2026 WAEC registration fees and administrative charges for students in private secondary schools across Yagba, Kabba/Bunu, and Ijumu Federal Constituency in Kogi State.
The initiative, which benefits all eligible students in private schools across the constituency, underscores the foundation’s enduring mission to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent students from sitting for this critical examination.

Founded in 2010, the Leke Abejide Foundation has consistently delivered programs targeting vulnerable members of society, including youths, students, and widows, through interventions in education, empowerment, and social welfare.

Speaking on the initiative, the Foundation’s Director-General, Engr. Ayobami Dada, highlighted that the funding program is designed to promote equal access to education and eliminate financial barriers associated with WAEC registration.
“This effort is a reflection of the sustained dedication of Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide to youth empowerment and the advancement of education in our constituency,” Dada said.
“It ensures that all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, have the opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations and compete effectively at the national level.”
The program is fully inclusive, covering every eligible student in private schools across Yagba, Kabba/Bunu, and Ijumu. Engr. Dada emphasized that the foundation has been supporting WAEC registration and other human development initiatives for over a decade, reinforcing its long-term commitment to education and human capital development.
Parents of the beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation for the initiative, noting that it significantly alleviates the financial pressures associated with examination registration. Likewise, students who benefited from the program pledged to remain committed to their studies, determined to justify the investment in their education.
The disbursement was meticulously overseen by Engr. Dada and the Secretary of the foundation, who personally presented the payment drafts to the participating schools to complete the administrative processes.
