Salman Defeats Toyin Omole to Win Re-election Ticket
The member representing Kabba-Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency, Arc. Salman Idris has won the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress to emerge the Candidate of the Party in the 2027 general elections.
Arc. Salman picked the ticket after defeating his closest rival in a free, fair and transparent election with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and Security Agencies in attendance to monitor the process.
While declaring the result of the Direct Primary election, the Returning Officer, Philips Paul said Architect Salman pulled twelve thousand, two hundred and forty one votes to defeat his closest rival, Toyin Omole who had three hundred and twenty eight votes.
Paul commended party stakeholders and supporters for their orderly conduct, which he said is a display of maturity.
