A dual-structured organization, Sanity Multi-Efforts Forum – SMEF RC 9565689 and Sanity Multi-Efforts Limited – SMEL RC 8825804, has announced a nationwide agenda aimed at restoring sanity in governance, revenue administration, and security across Nigeria.
Speaking at the group’s Head Office in Lokoja, Kogi State, the Convener and Managing Director, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada, said the two entities were registered under CAMA 2020 to bridge the gap between advocacy and service delivery.
He explained that SMEF, as a Not-For-Profit Incorporated Trustee, handles policy advocacy, human rights, and ethical reorientation, while SMEL, as a Limited Liability Company, provides compliance, consultancy, due diligence, risk management, and corporate support services to public and private institutions.
“The law demands this separation. SMEF is our voice. SMEL is our action. Together, we are working to achieve sanity across all sectors,” he stated.
The organization outlined its mandate under 3 pillars:
Governance: Promoting transparency, accountability, due process and zero tolerance for corruption in all public and private institutions.
Revenue: Eliminating multiple taxation, illegal levies, roadblocks and revenue leakages, while partnering with government to ensure lawful IGR collection across transport, commerce, industry, agriculture and SMEs.
Security: Supporting security agencies and promoting community policing to rid roads, markets, schools and communities of crime, extortion, kidnapping and drug abuse.
Prince Dada further listed additional focus areas to include youth and women empowerment, capacity building, policy research and strategic partnership for national development.
He reaffirmed the group’s declaration: “SANITY MUST BE IT – IN GOVERNANCE, IN REVENUE AND IN SECURITY.”
