The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim has promised to consolidate on his achievements in the security, agriculture, education and other sectors as he commences another term in office.
Hon. Haruna told Newsmen at the Government House Lokoja shortly after his Inauguration that he is committed to implementing more programmes of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the Local Government Area.
He expressed appreciation to the people of Ijumu Kingdom especially eligible voters for the trust reposed in him to serve again, assuming that he will not disappoint them.
The Chairman commended the State Electoral Umpire, Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) and Security Agencies for conducting a free, fair and credible election last Saturday.
He attributed the successful conduct of the election to the purposeful Leadership provided by Governor Ododo in the Area of Security and provision of good governance to the people.

He also commended Ijumu electorate for conducting themselves in an orderly manner, urging them to replicate the same during the general elections next year.
He also promised to carry everyone along in the scheme of things, saying his admission is open to individuals, groups and Associations that are interested in the peace and development of the Local Government.
