As the 2027 general elections draw closer, the Elulu of Mopa and Chairman Mopamuro Traditional Council, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun says nobody can challenge the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Oba Ibeun also declared his support and that of Mopamuro Traditional Council to the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, saying they are too good and Intelligent to be challenged.
The Kogi State Monarch was speaking when he received at his palace, the Kogi West All Progressives Congress (APC) Leaders Forum, who were in his palace for sensitisation on unity, peace and progress of the District ahead of the General and Gubernatorial elections in Kogi State.

According to him, since he ascended the throne, the Local Government has enjoyed dividends of democracy especially the Mopa Township road embarked upon by the Ododo led administration.
He explained that the people of Mopamuro are happy with the Governor and want him to continue his good work beyond 2027, describing the move by the Forum as timely and strategic.

The Elulu of Mopa further stated that Governor Ododo’s humility and good works in the area of prompt salary payment, massive Infrastructure across the State and humility will speak for him at the election.
He charged them to take the consultation for power shift across the two Senatorial Districts and ensure that the all agreements are documented and given legal backing.
Oba Ibeun told the Delegation that President Tinubu who inherited insecurity is currently tackling it headlong, saying the Country has experienced fresh air under his administration.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor for his genuine love for him and people of his domain, describing it as a unique sign of a Chief Servant.
Earlier, the Leader of the Forum, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) used the visit to extend the appreciation of the State Government to the Traditional Ruler for his unwavering support to the effort of government and Security Agencies to safety of lives and property in the Local Government Area.
Commander Omodara, who went down memory lane on the effort of Oba Ibeun for power shift in the past before he became a Monarch said, though the move is lawful but it should be after the completion of the second tenure of Governor Ododo.
According to him, no Senatorial can win Governorship in isolation, saying for the Western Senatorial District to get it right compared to the past, they must seek alliance with the Central Senatorial District, who can be trusted due to the relationship between them from the old Kwara State.
Commander Omodara pointed out that despite the insult on the Social Media, the Forum is not deterred but focused on their belief that President Tinubu and the Governor to be reelected.
He stated that the President in particular has demonstrated compassion for the West Senatorial District and the entire Kogi State with appointment of indigenes in key positions such as Ministers, heads of Government Agencies and Parastatals and the Chief of Army Staff.
The Forum Chairman, who is the State Security Adviser maintained that for the West and the whole State to enjoy more democracy dividends, the President must be retired to Aso Rock to consolidate on his achievements.
On his part, a member of the Group, Hon. Alfred Bello and Hon. Funsho Olumoko appealed to the Traditional Ruler to counsel those being used to cause confusion and division in the District to desist.
