Kogi Govt. Announces Closure Of Schools For Guber Polls

Kogi State Government has announced closure of schools for the Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, 11th November, 2023.

A Statement by the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Wemi Jones directed all schools to shutdown from Friday 10th.

The statement reads “As you may be aware, the Kogi State Governorship Election comes up on Saturday, 11th November, 2023. Therefore the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology hereby directs all institutions at the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels be closed from Friday, 10th November, 2023 to Tuesday, 14th November, 2023. Normal academic activities will resume on Wednesday, 15th November, 2023.

All schools are directed to comply accordingly.
