NJC Okays 3 Kogi Judges for Appointment

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the appointment of three high court judges in Kogi state.

The three judges are among 46 judicial officers recommended for appointment as heads of courts across the country by NJC.

The recommended judges are; Clement Ohiani Kekere, Hawa Eleojo Yusufu and Isa Jamil Abdullahi.

According to a statement by Soji Oye, NJC spokesman, the decision was taken at the 98th meeting of the council held between Tuesday and Wednesday.

The list of candidates was presented by the NJC interview committee at the meeting, and at the end of deliberations, the candidates were recommended.

“All recommended candidates are expected to be sworn in after approval of the NJC recommendations to their respective state governors and the respective state houses of assembly, as the case may be,” the statement reads.
