Kogi Govt. Identifies 20 Illegal Tertiary Institutions, Threatens to Shut Down If …

Kogi State Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones says operators of Private Tertiary Institutions operating outside the State Education law will be made to face the wrath of the law.

Hon. Jones stated this during the accreditation exercise for GloryLand Polytechnic by the National Technical Board of Education NBTE at Ankpa

According to the Commissioner, the education law is aimed at regulating schools in the state in line with International best practices.

He said in Ankpa Local Government alone, there are about 20 Illegal tertiaries institution and warned the operators of the Schools to urgently do the needful or risk being shut down.

Hon. Jones pointed out that the Polytechnic is the first Private institution in Ankpa axis to invite NBTE Team for accreditation.

In his words: “All our State owned tertiary institutions are fully accredited because the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello is responsible and responsive to the standard of education in the State.”

Quality of education in Kogi State will be second to non and we’re not paying lip service to Education
