2023 Yagba Federal Constituency: Leke Picks ADC Return Ticket, Promises More Quality Representation

The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide has emerged as the flag bearer of African Democratic Congress (ADC), for another term in the House of Representatives.

Hon. Leke emerged by affirmation as the sole contestant in the ADC primary election.

He pulled 168 votes in an election that is peaceful, fair and transparent.

Hon. Peter Edeh, the Chairman of the North Central National Working Committee of ADC with other members of the committee presided over the exercise in the presence of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, security operatives and other observers.

Hon. Peter said that after following all necessary processes and procedures affirmed that “by the powers conferred on me by the constitution and guidelines of our great party, the ADC, I hereby declare Rt. Hon.Leke Abejide, the member representing Yagba as duly affirmed and elected flag bearer of the Party in Yagba for the 2023 House of Representatives general election”.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Abejide expressed gratitude to God for giving him another opportunity to emerge as the ADC flag bearer and to continue to serve the people.

Hon. Abejide also thanked members of his team for supporting and working hard to produce results that have convinced the people of Yagba, assuring that the confidence reposed in him through the affirmation would spur him to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

He equally commended the national leadership of the ADC under the Chairmanship of Chief Okei Raph Nwosu for effectively coordinating the affairs of the party in the most efficient manner.
The House of Representatives member assured the people of his constituency of a greater milestone of representation.

“I am convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that the people of Yagba are very supportive and ready to go with us because we move hand in hand to achieve all that have positive impacts in our constituency and we are working in accordance with the guidance and perseverance of the leadership of the people”.

Abejide assured the delegates and party supporters that their efforts, unflinching support and loyalty to his administration’s resolve to turn around the fortunes of the constituency will not go in vain.
