The 36 Political Elevation Group (36 PEG), led by Prince Dan Olaitan Dada, has vowed to sustain its mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid, citing the need for policy continuity, national stability, and long-term nation-building.

Speaking at the group’s secretariat in Lokoja, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada said: “36 PEG will not stop advocating for President Tinubu’s continuation in office. Nigeria cannot afford to keep restarting every four years. Four years is not enough to reverse decades of insecurity, economic distortion, and structural decay.”

“What the country needs now is consistency. President Tinubu has shown the courage to take tough but necessary decisions, and we must allow those reforms to mature for the benefit of this generation and those to come.”

36 PEG Director General, Hon. Chief Sanmi Ishola Oluleye, said the administration is laying the foundation for security, economic growth, and youth empowerment:

“What we are seeing is leadership willing to confront Nigeria’s hard truths. From security reforms to economic repositioning and youth-focused programs, the groundwork is being set.

Stopping now would be like abandoning a building at foundation level. We appeal to Nigerians to look beyond today’s discomfort and see the bigger picture of a stable, productive nation.”

Bar. Olalekan Adepoju, Legal Adviser of 36 PEG, added: “Prevention is better than cure. Nigeria has faced banditry, insecurity, and economic challenges long before now. What is new is a president willing to confront them head-on. For the sake of our children and the Nigeria we want to leave behind, we must see this process through to its logical conclusion.”

In his closing remarks, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada urged Nigerians to embrace patience and perspective: “Nation-building is a marathon, not a sprint. We cannot keep changing direction every election cycle and expect progress. President Tinubu is not seeking to stay forever; he is working to leave Nigeria better than he met it. Give this process a chance. Support continuity so that the sacrifices of today become the prosperity of tomorrow. As the old song says, ‘Nigeria yi dowo re Oluwa, Bawa se koda’ – meaning, ‘Unto You, Oh Lord, we commit Nigeria. Help us make it become good.’ Nigeria is our heritage. Let us build it together.”
