The General Manager of Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Hon. Richard Osaseyi has offset school fees of schools in Okoro Gbede Community in Ijumu Local Government Area, under his Non Governmental Organization, Osaseyi Foundation.
The Schools are; ILGEA School 1 Okoro Gbede ILGEA School 2 Okoro Gbede, UBE JSS Okoro Gbede and Okoro Gbede High School.
The gesture is another bid to bring succour to pupils and students as well as parents in this trying times as the Economy is biting hard and the cost of living has risen to astromically.
According to the Philanthropist, he has resolved that as long as God gives him life, every child in Okoro-Gbede and its environs will receive qualitative education, hence the payment of the school fees ahead of the forthcoming new academic session.
This development no doubt has been the practise of the Philanthropist for several years and he has not allowed the current economic situation in the country deter his efforts and resolve to keep children in school; thereby bringing relief to them and their families.
Recall that every community and neighbouring villages had benefitted immensely from the Foundation’s scholarship scheme.
The benefitting students in Okoro-Gbede comprise of indigenes, Bassa, Tiv, Ebira, Nupe among others as well as across the entire Kogi West Senatorial District.
Similarly, Hon. Osaseyi through the Foundation employed (5) PTA teachers in collaboration with management of Okoro-Gbede High school to improve the learning experience of the students.
The Philanthropist has taken it upon himself to pay these teachers their stipends out of his own pocket.

It is worthy of note that Hon. Osaseyi has not only contributed immensely to the growth and development of several communities in Kogi West but is also a force to be reckoned with on the Political scene.
He has created a solid platform for the youth in his community and Kogi West to thrive and to participate actively in Politics.
Hon. Osaseyi has at all times proved to be a loyal and dogged member of the All Progressives Congress and has portrayed this by achieving landslide victories in his ward during elections.
