A severe rainstorm has left a trail of destruction at the Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Kabba, with significant damage reported.

Principal of the College, Mrs. Olayinka Amosun Eniola, who confirmed this to The Drum Reporter said no life was lost during the stormy weather.

Also, Chairman of the Parent Teachers Association of the College, High Chief Shuaib Ipinmisho, led other Executive Committee members on an on-the-spot assessment of the damages caused by the disaster.

High Chief Ipinmisho, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Land Matters described the extent of the damage as “worrisome, and massive,” emphasizing that it exceeds the capacity of the PTA and college management to repair immediately.

He appealed to well-meaning Nigerians, Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and the Federal Ministry of Education for urgent assistance during this challenging time.

The college, located in Kogi State, is a federal government post-primary educational institution managed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
