It was a day of celebration, dining and winning for the sons and daughter from Imane in Kano State, North West Nigeria, under the auspices of the Imane development union as they held their 2024 end of year celebration in grand style.
The event which brought not only members together, but their family members was chaired by the managing Director/ Chief Executive of G-1 Homes and Autos Abuja, Alhaji Gowan Enenche.
An elated Gowan Enenche expressed happiness that members of the Imane Development Union could bring themselves together under one roof to celebrate God’s blessing upon their lives despite religious diffraction.
Represented by Mr. Johnpaul Onoja, a Senior Personnel with the Kano Electricity Distribution Company KEDCO, Gowan called on them to put aside all clannish and family affiliations and unite towards making Imane great through their contributions in various forms.
With the spread of moral deterioration, loss of family values and decadent society, the real estate mogul called on Imane’s parents to train up their children in the way of God, noting that Imane is known for high moral standards, respect for elders and value for customs, customs and tradition.
Gowan who is pleased with the level of organization at the event, called on IDU Kano to close ranks with the national body of the union, critical stakeholders and the youth to promote home grown developments.
He applauded the drive of IDU to embark on community projects in Kano and promised to continually support them as the economic situation improves with time. He made a cash donation of one hundred and fifty thousand naira to the union and appealed for the judicious use of the fund that would be generated.
Earlier, chairman of IDU Kano, Mallam Abdul Uloko, welcomed members to the end of year porgramme and charged them to show love by eating together. He called on members to be prayerful for Imane land and advised them to live within their means in the festive season.
Chairman Organizing Committee for the 2024 End of Year programme, Mr. Joseph Umoru appreciated IDU Kano branch for their show of love, support and commitment to the programme which he described as successful.
The programme had prominent Imane’s sons like Professor Andre Uloko of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Hajiya Halima Abdulkadir, Kano branch chairman of ICDA, guests and invitees from various associations and unions from Olamaboro, Okenyi, Ankpa and people from other ethnic group in attendance.
