Frontline Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress APC ahead of November 2023 Governorship polls, Prince Dayo Akanmode has congratulated Christians on the celebration of Christmas, a commemoration of the Birth of Jesus Christ.
Prince Akanmode, a former Vice Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area made the remark in a statement obtained by The Drum Reporters on Saturday in Lokoja, the State Capital.
The Gubernatorial Hopeful stated that the birth of Christ brought hope to all no matter their race and background, hence the need to keep hope alive.
He expressed appreciation to his teaming supporters for believing in his Aspiration, assuring that he would not let them down if given the opportunity.
In his word, “Merry Christmas and happy new year in advance to all our friends, well wishers and believers in our vision for Kogi State. We appreciate your sacrifice, resilence and total commitment to our vision for a better, prosperous and United Kogi State.
“Your suport and labour of love for our vision in the last two years will not be in vain.please let us remain focused and resolute. We shall surely reach our eldorado if we faint not.”
Prince Akanmode appealed to Kogi people to approach the coming election with a sense of responsibility devoid of violence and acrimony.
