FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST ON FEDERAL ACCOUNTS ALLOCATION COMMITTEE (FAAC) TO ALL LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN NIGERIA (AUGUST, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER, 2024)
Greetings from the Connected Development [CODE] team.
Connected Development (CODE) is a civil society organization whose mission is to empower marginalized communities in Africa by providing them with access to information. CODE through its initiative Follow TheMoney (FTM) tracks capital project investment in education, health, and the environment. CODE also strengthens the capacity of marginalized communities by creating platforms for dialogue and debate on mechanisms to hold their government accountable and demand for improved service delivery.
To this end, we humbly request; 1. The details and breakdown of allocations from the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) directly to ALL local governments (LGAs) in Nigeria for August, September, and October, 2024.
This request is in line with Section 2 (4) of the Freedom of Information Act, 2011 which requires all information relating to the receipt or expenditure of public or other funds of the institution to be “widely disseminated and made readily available”.
We await and will appreciate the receipt of all information requested not later than 7 days of application as required by the Freedom of Information Act, 2011.
