The Provost of Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba, FCNA, has felicitated with Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi over his well-deserved appointment as member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a congratulatory he personally signed, Dr. Fashagba described Dr. Ocholi’s appointment as a fitting recognition of an academician per excellence whose sterling qualities, intellectual depth, and unwavering commitment to educational advancement have consistently distinguished him among his peers.
The Provost commended President Tinubu for finding Dr. Ocholi worthy of the appointment, noting that it reflects the President’s deliberate effort to bring competent and detribalized hands into the leadership of critical national institutions saddled with the responsibility of funding tertiary education across the country.
“This appointment could not have come to a more deserving individual. Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi has, over the years, demonstrated exceptional scholarship, integrity, and dedication to the growth of education in Nigeria.
“I am confident that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on this new assignment, add value to the Board, and live up to the expectations of Mr. President and, indeed, all well-meaning Nigerians,” Dr. Fashagba stated.
He expressed optimism that Dr. Ocholi’s tenure on the Board would further strengthen TETFund’s mandate of intervention and support for tertiary institutions, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, research, and staff development.
Dr. Fashagba further urged Dr. Ocholi not to relent in his efforts towards the development of the education sector, assuring him of the continued support and prayers of the entire Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa community as he settles into his new role.
While affirming the readiness of the Management of the College in working with the new Board member, the Provost congratulated Dr. Ocholi once again, praying for God’s guidance and wisdom as he discharges his new responsibilities
