A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja on Monday strike out a suit by the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the November 11th Governorship election in Kogi State, Dino Melaye asking the court to halt the activities of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisment Agency.

Melaye had filed an exparte injunction dated the 12th day of September praying a High Court sitting in Lokoja to halt the activities of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisment Agency.

The exparte order further prayed the court to declare the creation of the Agency null and void, stating that its creation was against constitutional provisions.

In determining the order, the presiding Judge, Justice Ruth Alfa, on Monday struck out the motion for lack of merit.

In her ruling, the Judge posited that the exparte injunction was defective and therefore did not even delve into the merit of the injunction.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of the Agency has announced that the defacing and removal of all unauthorised forms of outdoor Advertisment will commence with immediate effect from the date of this publication.

He urged the general public to head to the Agency to make all necessary payments for all outdoor Advertisment.

He further thanks the good people of Kogi State for being law abiding and peaceful and also promised to always deliver on the mandate of his Agency to bring sanity to the Advertisment stratosphere.
