Obaro of Egbeda Egga To Be Coronated on Saturday 30th September

Following the conclusion of traditional rites for the installation of its new King, the Traditional Council and people of Egbeda-Egga in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, are set to coronate Oba (Engr) Noah Olumide Obademi, FNSE as the Obaro of Egbeda-Egga.

According to the Chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee, Mr. J. T. Atibioke, the event has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, 30th September, 2023 by 10:00am at the Community Town Hall, Egbeda-Egga, Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State.

While His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State is expected at the event as Special Guest of Honour, sons, daughters, in-laws, residents and friends of the community from all walks of life are to witness the ceremony.

Also to grace the occasion as Guest of Honour is Barrister Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. Other Very Important Personalities expected at the Coronation Ceremony, which is to be laced with rich cultural displays, are Chief Hon. (Dr) Taofeeq Isah, Executive Chairman, Ijumu Local Government Area, Chief Host; His Royal Majesty, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Royal Father of the Day; Hon. Abiodun Ojo, former Commissioner for Finance, Kogi State and Chairman, Biodun & Associates and Mrs. Bunmi Oriola, former Executive Director, Finance, Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Ilorin, Co-Hosts.

The President of Egbeda-Egga Development Union, Dr. Emmanuel Otitolaiye is the host of the Coronation Ceremony.

Speaking on the event, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Egbeda-Egga Day Celebration, Comrade Prince Mike Olanrewaju, enjoined all sons, daughters and friends of the community to come out en masse, as the ceremony will afford the community to showcase its age-long rich cultural heritage. He said that various cultural groups have been prepared to add glitz and glamour to the occasion through different displays.
