The Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) has nominated distinguished legal practitioner and community leader, Barrister (Prince) Kolade S. Olutekunbi, for its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the legal profession, leadership, and community development.

The award is a tribute to Prince Olutekunbi’s decades of dedicated service to Ekinrin-Adde, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large. Widely respected for his professional excellence and commitment to community advancement, he has remained a prominent figure in both legal and developmental circles.

Born into the royal family of Oba Olarenwaju Jimoh Olutekunbi, the Adebuja of Ona Ekinrin-Adde, and Olori Janet Wuraola Olutekunbi, Prince Olutekunbi has built an impressive career spanning over 35 years in legal practice.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) degree from the University of Ibadan, earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990 after completing his studies at the Nigerian Law School.

His legal career began at Jude Idigbe & Co., Lagos, before he joined Badru Olaogun & Co., where he rose to become Deputy Head of Chambers after more than seven years of distinguished service. In 2003, he founded K.S. Olutekunbi & Co., where he currently serves as Chief Compliance and Regulation Officer and Head of Chambers.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Prince Olutekunbi has demonstrated exemplary leadership in various organizations. He served as President of the prestigious Lagos Lawn Tennis Club 1895, becoming the first Northern Nigerian to attain the position since the club’s establishment.

Within the Ekinrin-Adde community, his contributions have been profound and enduring. As one time General Secretary of the Ekinrin-Adde Development Association, he played a vital role in shaping the association’s vision and structures.

His dedication to the progress, unity, and development of Ekinrin-Adde has earned him widespread admiration among indigenes at home and in the diaspora.

According to the association, the Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals whose lives exemplify excellence, selfless service, and lasting impact on the community. Prince Olutekunbi’s nomination is seen as a fitting recognition of a lifetime devoted to professional distinction and community advancement.

Married to Princess Olayemi Olutekunbi, the respected legal luminary continues to inspire younger generations through his integrity, leadership, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to service.

The award presentation is one of the highlights of the forthcoming activities marking Ekinrin-Adde Cultural Day, as the community celebrates one of its most accomplished and dedicated sons.
